Another Idea

Hey Tankers - I have another Idea (actually one of the members suggested it)

Was just wondering if a playchip/non tourney /ring type game night would interest anyone in the tank, for example it would start regular time and maybe run for a set time of about two hours, about the length of current tourney games. I'm thinking every Wed. could be ring game night, and we could maybe set up tables for different kinds of ring games. Like Holdem, Omaha, Stud, and Badugi. Of course, the results would not be included in the monthly standings, but it might offer a new level of competition. And if you get kicked out you just come back.

The tank is always a good place for fun and growing skills, so wondered if including a ring type game night, would be something there would an interest in?

Yeah I stink at ring games too. Maybe I can figure out what I am doing wrong.

A possible idea on how people could still earn points in a ring game. The top three or four players (depending on how many people played) who showed the greatest profit during the two hours could be assigned points based on profit, somewhat like in a tourney, not sure if there is a way to do that.

I do know that Pokerstars does not track or record any play money statistics for ring games. We would have to depend on everyone reporting their earnings on the honor system and the effort it would take to collect the data is not worth the reward.

Let's just make it a free play night where no points are earned.

Should we start tonight or wait till next week?

My thought on it is wait til next week, as that will give more time for people to hear about it.

I'm thinking the same way. Let's play the regularly scheduled game tonight but spread the word about next Wednesday.

Remember that the Wednesday Night game will be cancelled.

Five ring tables will be created instead. Let's try this and see if it works.

Wow I just now realized, I totally forgot to do this.

For all those that showed up last Wednesday and were expecting to play the ring games, I apologize.

I do promise to try this again this coming Wednesday.
