| Can't say enough about all the players tonight. But extra special recognition should go out to Julestubby who led the entire tournament nearly from start to finish, and the amazing herculean effort by Buzzliyear to fight of 4 players to nearly bring us victory.
Way to go boys, it was an incredible run.

| So how did we do? I came here before going to the club vs club lobby... I haven't been able to get connected to the internet since around 4:30 p.m. (PST) until now. I tried everything under the sun to fix the connection. I thought that my modem went bad cuz it was so darn hot here today. It was around 104 degrees I think... and the modem was in the window, it was super hot to the touch... but after fooling with it and fooling with it... I looked at the clock and it was 6:30 p.m. (PST) ... I thought... damn it, the club vs club has gone for over an hour and a half already... and the Tank is probably starting right about this time too... that's when I finally called Clearwire (my ISP) and found out there was a major outage in our area. Then I hear... they expected to have it resolved within 24-hrs. I was so frustrated! I told them I needed a note! lol But seriously, I did ask if they'd shoot me an email stating that they were experiencing an outage and it was affecting the entire area where I live. When I was told they couldn't do that, I got a little grumpy cuz I know better... so my twin kinda appeared this afternoon, after all I am a Gemini right? Well those Gemini horns came out for a second... not proud of that though... Needless to say I actually was a bit bitchy to the poor guy, cuz I was so irritated... I then asked if he'd have a letter sent via the post office... I barely got the words out when he interrupted me again, and started to say I don't think we can do that either... I was about to lose it... I said, I understand if you aren't authorized to use email but I am sure if this is the policy then having a letter delivered through the post office is the obvious alternative... I could feel him sweat a bit for a second and then asked if I'd hold, but I interrupted and rudely said "don't tell me you can't send a letter the old-fashioned way either" .... he asked if I'd hold and I was on hold for a while... I wanted to say, this isn't freaking rocket science guy.... write the effing letter and get it in the effing mail if you can't shoot over an email... So then after waiting for about 10-mins or so... he comes back and says... actually Mrs. Johnson... we will send an email to you, what is your email address? I couldn't help but say, that is what I thought... but I bit my tongue and kept the rest of my thoughts to myself... but I was thinking how ridiculous it would have been if they sent a dang letter vs shooting over an email, with operations set up like that, it is a wonder if they are profitable if their leadership team has this type of protocol in place. The cost to get a letter out in the mail vs. an email (the form that a customer actually preferred) adds up to a nice chunk of change that'd be better spent elsewhere... I wonder how the heck some people actually find gainful employment in this type of economy... while so many people with a brain can't get hired for sh.t. Makes no sense at all... Anyway, I went to say thank you and that I appreciated his help... but he interrupted me again with that fluffy stuff... So I fired off and just blurted out... "In future would you please let your customers finish saying what they have to say before you interrupt?" It was one of those calls where the rep instantly tries to repeat word for word what the customer says and you can feel that they are stressing out to make sure that they've met the quota of the fluff words thrown in each sentence they have to verbalize, you know, those fluff words that are thought to make a customer feel understood and that they are being helped? I get it... but goodness, how hard is it to genuinely provide authentic customer service anyway? Damn it... it was like hearing someone read me a script and I didn't give a eff about anything other than getting on-line in time to salvage any chips I might have had left in the club vs club game at least! But, I felt like a jerk almost instantly, I gotta say, he took the constructive criticism quite well, so I asked to speak with his supervisor at the end of our call and I told his supervisor that I kinda came at him a bit sideways and that "Lance" handled the call very professionally, never did he compromise his willingness to try to help me get a resolution to my issue, including his agreement to send an email confirming the outage issue and that is was something I felt strongly about as I was going to miss an appointment scheduled at 8:00 p.m. (PST) via Skype with a potential client looking for help designing new business cards.... so the email or letter was important to me. I probably should have went to my email first to see if they actually followed through with sending that email... but I came here first! (I really do love the Tank, shucks! lol) Man! What timing for an outage... This Saturday goes down as one I wish I never got out of bed for this morning... nothing worse than not having any control over a situation, especially when your agenda for the day includes a couple of really important things that matter to ya... ya know? I am sure the Tank did their thing... can't wait for the details... See you tomorrow guys! I really wish I got to take part tonight... just wanted you guys to know what happened and why I was a sitter... yuck! =( | |

| @ Dano i was <<<< shaking my head as well bud. it seems they're pretty descent at "team" play. i'm 100% that if they played poker the way poker is supposed to be played, an outright slaughter would have ensued. why none of them seem to have the integrity to put a stop to that crap is beyond me, but oh well. if you folks want to play them again, using their tactics, you'll whip the shit outta 'em. i bet the last 2 tables will be not but tankers, but that game will take an eon. we played with dignity and that in itself was a win to me. so many times i wanted to call them out for their BS, but refrained,as to not do anything to sully the tank's good name. and now @ BUZZER.... man, you played a GREAT game!! HasAsMaybe got his chips in bad an unreal # of times and the cards just fell his way. you outplayed all of them really, and i know i can confidently speak for all of us here when i say we're so effin proud of the way you repped the tank we're about bustin'!!! now a lil p.s. from the other buzz ....she wants me to tell you , you played with golden balls!!! (pun intended) | |

| I guess I may question what the person in charge of their team has told them and how they are to play . If they were told to play as a team then that explains why they play that way . But all i can say Is we were told to play every man/women for themselves and that what we did . We play an excellent game and did not soft play any one . GREAT JOB EVERY ONE!!!!!!!!!!! | |

| Game well played TANKERS. Jules, what a awesome game. Buzz, we talk all the time and you know well what I think of your game but don't think for one second you somehow let us down. You played a great game with a classic HU,s match which saw you constantly get em in good. Your reads were on, you shifted gears so many times the guy hadn't a and in the end, he threw his tourny life to the hands of luck. Be proud, really, really proud of your game. We are. | |

| Dan,
That hand you posted would get them thrown out of EVERY SINGLE casino. Checking down a made hand is against the poker room rules of any casino i've ever been in... which is a lot of them.

| AWESOME GAME TANKERS, PLAYED LIKE TRUE CHAMPIONS. You got to give to them the victory, but in the spirit of the game they sucked. To have eleven players sitting out at one time is just wrong. I can understand 3 or 4 players sitting out and the other junk they where doing. In the end they ruined their own integrity.
Once again guys
Awesome game | |

| I am thinking about starting up the "Club Challenge" once more under a new format.
Basically there will be four games in August one each Saturday. The first 3 would be open to all players of the 3 clubs, The Drunk Tank, The Players Club, and the Underground. The last and final game would be restricted to only the top 6 players from each club (18 in all) as determined by the player Standings. This final game will be used to determine the winning club for the month by using the home game point system.
This way the first 3 games will be played only to determine who will represent each club. This will eliminate the team play style that was used before. I am also thinking about moving my music CD to the final game so it will be the prize in this challenge.
For all members who have already joined you are good to go. For those that would like to get in: Club ID is: 633668 Password is: clubvsclub | |

| OK the first game of the Club Challenge season is scheduled. Remember that the results of these next 3 games will determine who gets to play in the final. To avoid the possibility of ties we will be using a double scoring system. Each game will have an assigned number of points distributed to each player. EX: if 32 players, the top player gets 32 points, second gets 31, etc... Last place gets 1 point. In addition, the home game points, as shown in the game results, will be added to each player that earns them.
Obviously the higher you place the more points you get, so play as well as you can. In these first 3 games there is no need or advantage to playing a team style. It should be every man/woman for themselves. However, remember it is a friendly competition, so please show respect to all the players.
