| Also remember that I am offering one of my music CD's as the grand prize for the final game. Talk to other members of the Drunk Tank that have received one of these and they will tell you it's well worth it. Over 120 songs, Rock, Jazz, and Blues, from my fifty year collection. The songs will be in MP3 format so you can add them to your library. | |

| Just got notice that one of our players will not be able to play tonight in the Club Challenge. I will take the first one that contacts me either through a post, PM, or email as a replacement. Otherwise we will have to play short.
Let's go Tankers.
edit - Thanks for the quick responses - but we have a winner.

| Please note that I have suspended all player not in the Final on the Club Challenge. This is only temporary and all will be reinstated after registration. Please do not be offended this is the only way I can control the entrants. | |

| Wow it was a great finish. TrumpinJoe was amazing and took out all four of his opponents one by one, and they were ganged up against him. But like Joe says with good decisions he came out on top. Joe also won the music CD that was the grand prize. Sadly for the team his score was not quite enough to put us over the top. Final scores are below, we didn't win but we got nothing to be ashamed about. Club Challenge - Final Result The Player's Club - 13.27 The Drunk Tank - 10.3 The Underground - 2.43 Thanks to all that participated. | |

| It was a real treat and total pleasure watching you take down the Club Tourney last night! Very proud to be given the opportunity to play with such a solid player as yourself. I have so much respect for you sir... thank you for continuing to teach us how to make good decisions and demonstrating these skills in the Tank games and beyond... Last night you gave us all something worth cheering for... Hope you didn't mind all of that cheer-leading going on, on the rail... I know we all were hanging on the edge of our seats and you didn't disappoint for one single second... Hope you have a wonderful day Joe!!! | |

| Thanks for the encouragement during the FT everyone. I saw most of them but when the game got down to five and I stepped it up a notch or two the hands were coming too fast to respond. When I am in a superior chip position, seeing hands faster benefits me as every hand is an excellent opportunity to gain chips.
A lesson for everyone: Do NOT counter excessive aggression with tight passive play especially short handed. You must absolutely play back against someone raising at every opportunity. When my 93o knocked out AK with bottom pair I expected them to take notice but they didn't so I barreled onward.
I did get a bit aggravated at the soft play at the FT (and earlier) but since I doubled up early it made my game more effective.
I am glad to close out the competition with a win for the tank.
Thanks for the kind words, and the treats CHILLI. Next time lets take the whole thing down.
And remember: Good Decisions FTW!!!

Actually I was thinking about giving the Club Challenge a rest for a while. What do you all think? You want to do it for September, or let it slide? If you have an opinion, post it here.

| I have decided to put the Club Challenge on hold at least for September. Feel free to drop the club or stay in. If or when I start it back up I will post here.
I looked at all the Pros and Cons, and there were too many cons. Plus one of the clubs is in a major turmoil right now as their manager has gone missing and no one has heard from him. I think it's best to let the dust settle before we try it again.

| Just a note that I have re-opened the Club Challenge Home Game. The manager of one of the clubs has gone missing and I offered this club as a temporary sanctuary for the Members of The Players Club to play.
I have made one of their members an administrator so he could set up games that they like to play. One of them is a skills series where they play a different game each week and try to see who is the best all around player. Games include Razz, badugi, stud, and draw. If you would like to play in this series feel free to join if you are not already a member.
This is NOT a Club vs Club format for now, just good people and good players and a chance to mingle. So come play if you want to.
Club info is 633668 and clubvsclub

| Hey guys and gals - I would like to invite all the Tankers over to Club Challenge for a Thanksgiving Day Million dollar tournament. Well it won't be real dollars, but it will feel like it. It will be played on Nov 22 and is in the Club Challenge Home game. If you are already a member, just sign up. If not, the info is listed in post above.
Come play and meet some new friends.

| Ever want to try your hand at big stakes poker? Here’s your chance. I will be running a Veterans Day one million chip tournament in Club Challenge on Nov 11 at 7:30 pm EST.
Here’s how it will work. I will accept 12 participants that must each send me 100K in play money chips. When all 12 have applied, I will set up a 6 seat tournament (2 tables) with a winner take all payout. The winner will get 1 Million chips and 2nd and 3rd will get their buyin of 100K returned.
This tournament will be open to all members of the Drunk Tank, The Player’s Club, and The Underground who either are (or know) a Veteran of the Armed Services. The game will be conducted in the Club Challenge Home Game and will be limited to the first 12 that sign up on the Club Challenge wall. If you are not already a member of club challenge you can sign up with the info listed above.
So you say that’s great Johnny, but I don’t have 100K chips to spare. Here’s where you come in. As a veteran I will not be playing, but I will sponsor two of the seats in this tournament. That means that I will provide 200K for two Drunk Tank members to play. If you win, you will have to donate half of the main prize 500K to the Tank Fund raiser. You keep 500K for yourself. If you finish 2 or 3 you get to keep 100K you will get back. If you would like to be one of the staked players, I will accept the first 2 members that send me a PM from this forum. That’s it, sign up for the club, (if not already there) and sign up for the game.

| Just a reminder that the Veterans day million chip playoff is only one week away.
There are still 7 slots open, and one of those is a sponsored position available to the next Tanker that PM's me that they want it.
