Drunk Tank Team Challenge

Wow Is it May already?  Yes it's spring and one of the teams has sprung into an early lead.  Of course, it is way too early in the contest, and anything could happen for the rest of the month.

As usual the team play and performance is outstanding.  Attendance seems to be down a bit, so call your friends and talk them into coming out for the games.  We are currently using a three team format with virtually no subs available, but perhaps we can pick it up in the next few months.  


Barging their way into first place with a strong combination of ITP wins by Effsea, Nobisquit, Mcedger, and Horsewoman72, who combined to provide extra points from the tourneys was team Wizards.  Included was 2 first place wins by Effsea and Mcedger.  

Allthough there was an small collection of ITP wins by a couple of members of the team, including zzHoneyBeezz, and Johnny Oak, Team Boozers fell just short to land into second place.  Also contributing was Johnny Oak with 2 first place wins.

In this the first period of the month, Team Chip & Chair now find themselves in third place, despite ITP contributions by Rhino4646, and Phoenix Maya.  Congratulations to Phoenix who posted a first place win as well.  

When asked, Captain Maya said,  "It's the firebird in me that says we will rise from the ashes."

In the contest for the MVP, we have one candidate that is currently outscoring her captain and the rest of the team.  Horsewoman72 is the leading scorer and is representing her team well.

Ok we are now in the second period of May, and one of the teams has decided to take advantage of the weather by extending their lead.  However, it is still too early in the contest, and anything could happen for the rest of the month.

Maintaining their hold onto first place with a strong combination of ITP wins by Mcedger, and Horsewoman72, who combined to provide extra points from the tourneys was team Wizards.  It helped that both of the wins by Horsewoman and Mcedger were first place wins.  

With a small collection of ITP wins by a couple of members of the team, including Wetmoose 613, Tom905, and Phoenix Maya, Team Chip & Chair swooped in to land into second place.  Also contributing was Wetmoose and Phoenix Maya with 2 first place wins.

In this the second period of the month, Team Boozers now find themselves in third place, despite ITP contributions by Johnny Oak.  

Honorable mention to Sandtrap777 who came in and took one of the first place wins.  

When asked, Captain Johnny said,  "What do you expect from a bunch-a-drunks."

In the contest for the MVP, we have one candidate that is still outscoring her captain and the rest of the team.  Horsewoman72 is the leading scorer and is representing her team well.

One of the teams has requested and received a roster change.  The new player will be Razzys and she will be added to Team Chip & Chair, her accumulated points will be added to the receiving team's total score.  This player will replace a player that has been inactive for over 5 days.  Good luck to all the teams and look for a new update here after the 15th.

In this the third period of the month, Team Boozers now find themselves in third place, despite ITP contributions by Jordan2652, and Johnny Oak.  Also contributing was Johnny Oak and Jordan with 3 of the first place wins.

When asked, Captain Johnny said,  "I think we got them just where we want them, oh wait - are we last?"

Ok we have completed the fourth period of May, and one of the teams is maintaining their lead.  If the other teams are going to catch them, they better start making their moves pretty soon.

Attendance is down, perhaps we need to offer free hot dogs and beer.  We have 95 people in the club but only about 10 are playing each night.  Invite your friends maybe we can grow.

In this the fourth period of the month, Team Boozers now find themselves in third place, despite ITP contributions by Psychovas, Jordan2652, and Johnny Oak.  

When asked, Captain Johnny said,  "We will do better in the second half, How many halves do you get?"

Now we have finally reached the fifth period of May, and one of the teams is still holding on to their lead.  If either of the other two teams are going to catch them, they better take off running right now.

Attendance is still down, maybe we could get more girls interested if we promised a video of Eff dancing in a G-String.

In this the fifth period of the month, Team Boozers now find themselves in third place, despite ITP contributions by Jordan2652, and Johnny Oak.  Both Jordan and Johnny had a first place win as well.

When asked, Captain Johnny said,  "Do me a favor for the rest of the month, try to finish in alphabetical order.  Makes it easier to enter the scores."

Sometimes we have a month where one team will take the lead and just stay there. This month one team charged out of the gate and just kept running to the finish line.  In the end, it would be a bunch of hobbits, dwarves, and elves, who all got in a conga line to sing, "We just won the Drunk Tank, We just won the Drunk Tank."

Despite a valiant effort that included a lot of rum chugging and swearing, coupled with some last minute  ITP scores by Easychips4U, Jordan2652, CaseyBaby1, and Johnny Oak.  Including 4 first place wins by Easy, Jordan, and Johnny, The Boozers have ended this season in last place.  So if you see any of them looking like they just got became Boo-Hoo-Boozers you will understand why.

In second place for the season is team Chip & Chair.  The come from behind team fought hard to the end with impressive showings from several of the members which included contributions by Rhino4646, Wetmoose 613, and Phoenix Maya, still it was not enough to catch up to the Wizards lead.  

In the end it was an awesome steady and all around performance of new kids and old timers, coupled with a wise advice from the head conjurer, that caused a win for the Wizards team.  It was a strong contingent of players that saw contributions from nearly every member of the team including Effsea, Horsewoman72, Mcedger, and GandalfDwite, that was good enough to take Team Wizards into an exclusive lead on the final day of the season.  Providing assistance was Mcedger who added a 2 BTB first place wins.

Sadly the captains proved to be too tough this month and there were no candidates for the MVP prize.

For anyone looking for the new teams, I think we will have to take a break for the summer.

When we start to increase the attendance, we will bring the Team Challenge back.

Hopefully after the summer months. Meanwhile we will still have the nightly games, just not team play.
