For the Record

In an effort to bring more equity to the team participation we will adjusting the time frames for the teams. The Bully Busters will now include all players between January to March of 2011. Players for Last Call Late will now include all Players from February 15, 2012 to February 28, 2013. The active players to be affected will be TrumpinJoe and Johnny Oak who will be added to Team Bully Busters. In addition, two active players Horsewoman72 and Wetmoose 613 will be added to Last Call Late, and in all four cases their accumulated points will be added to the receiving team's total score. The overall rankings of the teams will not change at this time but the scores will be a little closer. Good luck to all the teams and look for a new update here after the 15th.

The third period results for March have been posted, and one of the teams has led from the beginning. However, we did do some slight re-arranging of the team structure and the other two teams now have a chance to catch them if they can get some good scores.

As always the team play and performance is outstanding. The Rail birds are ever present. Our three team format seems to be bringing out a few more players, but we will try to get back to four teams in the next few months as the attendance picks up. This month we are divided into 3 groups, the first here, the first year, and the late bloomers.


Keeping a firm grip on their first place lead with an extremely strong combination of point contributions by Oriholic, Buzzliyear, Nobisquit, Jordan2652, and Howitzer2007 who combined to finish in all 5 tournies was team Big Guns. Congratulations to Oriholic, Nobisquit, and Howitzer, who combined to post 3 out of 5 first place wins as well.

Allthough there was a collection of wins by several members of the team, including Rhino4646, Wetmoose 613, GTAE92, CaseyBaby1, and QueenBee9979, Team Last Call Late fell short to land into second place. Congrats to Rhino who scored a first place win.

In this the third period of the month, the original Tankers, Team Bully Busters find themselves in third place, despite point contributions by Johnny Oak, !!!111Dan, Brkn80, Tom905, Effsea, and Chelle867. With additional help from Brkn80 who scored with a first place win as well.

When asked, Captain Chelle said, "See what happens when you wake up a sleeping giant, he wakes up really slow."

The fourth period forMarch has come to a close, and one of the teams is holding on to their lead. Although the other two teams are doing their best to catch up, this could be a runaway contest.

Can't stress enough how much the team play and cheering has made this fun. It is fabulous to see and hear (well read) how many people are still hanging around on the Final table. The attendance is starting to pick up and we are getting back to our old numbers.

Also providing a collection of wins by most of the team, including Johnny Oak, Julestubby25, Annie_22at90, !!!111Dan, Tom905, Effsea, and Chelle867, was Team Bully Busters, they were able to jump up one position but could not catch the leaders and fell short to land into second place. There was help by Effsea who posted 2 back to back first place wins.

In this the fourth period of the month, Team Last Call Late now find themselves in third place, despite point contributions by Tteradactyl, Rhino4646, Wetmoose 613, GTAE92, BrayleeGirl, CaseyBaby1, QueenBee9979, and zzHoneyBeezz. And an awesome contribution of a first place win by HoneyBee.

When asked, Captain Firemedic said, "Guess I'm gonna have to light a match under this team."

The fifth period for March is now complete, and the number one team is holding on to their lead. Although the other two teams are trying to rally the troops and doing their best to catch up. They will need a mighty boost of power, as time is running out.

Once again the team play and cheering continues to make this fun. It is fabulous to see how many people are still hanging around on the Final table. The attendance is starting to pick up and we are setting new averages every night.

Sometimes these things are close, but sometimes one team just takes the lead right out of the gate. Clearly this is one of those times when one team jumped into the lead and never gave it up to claim victory. This was a special month where every member of the Tank was on one of the 3 teams, so everyone's score counted towards the final. In the end it would be the weapons of mass destruction who got to sing, "We just won the Drunk Tank, We just won the Drunk Tank."

Despite a strong effort throughout the season and even some last minute scores by several members of the team, including Bobbythefish, Rhino4646, GTAE92, BrayleeGirl, CaseyBaby1, QueenBee9979, zzHoneyBeezz, and Firemedic815, team Last Call Late has ended this season in last place. So if you see any of them lighting matches to their poker cards, you will understand why. They do, however, win the third place prize of 2K play chips (per contributing member) to distribute to the team.

In second place for the season is team Bully Busters. Even though they were the most experienced players in the Tank and fought hard to the end with impressive showings in the last period including contributions by FLsnookman, Sandtrap777, Johnny Oak, Julestubby25, Annie_22at90, !!!111Dan, Moxie Pip, Tom905, Effsea and Chelle867, still it was not enough to catch up to the Gunner's lead. They will get the second place prize of 5K chips (per contributing member) to give to their players.

In the end it was a relentless bombardment of the players coupled with the always present and steady support of Captain Howitzer that caused a win for the Big Guns. It was a strong contingent of players that combined for over 30 ITM placements. Strong final showings by several members including Oriholic, Phoenix Maya, Buzzliyear, Nobisquit, and Howitzer, that was good enough to keep Big Guns in the lead from start to finish. They will split the first place prize of 10K chips (per contributing member) amongst it's players.

Well it’s that time again. For this April we will return to our regular format. We will still have three teams who will be playing for top points and bragging rights, but we will return to having nine member teams. All members who finished in the top 27 from the prior month and had 5 or more games will be qualified to be added to the teams. For anyone who didn't, please stop in and play so you can be qualified for next month's Challenge.

As usual, here are a few suggestions and rules to make it fair to everyone... This is a fun challenge and a friendly competition... NO ganging up on opposing members, OR taking it easy on your own members. Play as you normally do and at the end of the month, after the final game has been played, the points will be tallied to see which group gets bragging rights.

Rule 1 – The top three players (from the previous month) will be assigned as Captains of their teams and will get the honor of naming that team. (If a player declines we will go to next in line.)

Rule 2 – Teams will consist of 9 players initially assigned to each team. If any member of a team has not played for a 5 day period within the month, the Captain can request (via a PM to me) that they be replaced by the next highest eligible player (see replacement policy below). All points earned by the replacement up to that point will be added to the gaining team’s score.

Rule 3 – The Captain of the winning team will receive 90K chips to distribute to their team members (10K a piece). Second place team will get 45K. Third place will get 18K.

Rule 4 – This season we will return to a scoring system to include a combined score of Points and Knock Outs. (Dropping the game count)

Replacement Policy – All players of the Drunk Tank that were not selected to be on one of the three teams will automatically be added to a free agents team. If a player misses five or more days the Captain can request a replacement. At that time I will assign the highest scoring free agent to the team. If this free agent has opted out for the month I will send them a one-time request to join a team. If they respond within 24 hrs, that they would like to join, they will be added. If they turn down the request, (or do not respond), they will then become unavailable for the rest of the month. Only one replacement will be allowed for each 5-day period, and no replacements are allowed in the final period.

I will add updates to this thread (approx) every 5 days as to how the teams are doing. Good luck to all three teams and hope we can have a close race this month.

I couldn't have asked for a better crew! And to see Johnny and effsea sitting in the Captain's chairs this month...

Well, that's pretty darn incredible if you ask me!!! Congratulations you two!

Now that I am finally back home and had a chance to look at the numbers...

Coming in 2nd place was quite an accomplishment!!!

Our total games played were 17 shy of the total games played by the 1st place team; The Big Guns and 29 shy from the total games played by team Last Call Late...

I think our Bully Busters played a hell of a game all month long!!! Very proud to have played with you all!!!

Now, as I went to finish off this post and remind our Bully Busters that I haven't seen since effsea paid out the 2nd place prize of $6,000.00 to me...

I see I made a funny calculation error! lol

Goodness, it sure pays off in the end if you end up a Bully Buster!

As for whatever reason the first night back into the Tank... I automatically thought $5k to each member of the team.

No problem, I thought to myself... let's hurry and get them paid while so many of them are playing tonight...

Trying to find a little work at nights to help pay the bills and hopefully get Sammy into preschool this year. I have one more interview tomorrow afternoon.
