Drunk Tank Team Challenge II

The old forum address doesn't seem to work for me anymore, I had it saved to favourites, so I have posted the new address on the HG wall. If any of you also depend on favourites to remember how to get here, you may want to save the new address and delete the old one from your lists.

We have now completed the fourth period results for April, and we are over half way through the month.  The same team is in the first spot and holding on to their lead, but there are still 5 other horses in the race, and we have seen that you can make up a lot of ground quickly in this race.

We did see a slight bump up in the attendance, that's great, must be all the spring fever in the air.  Listed below are the current teams in the Top 3 positions.



Maintaining their lead in first place with a strong combination of 5 In the Points (ITP) wins, KO's and FT's was the team of Johnny Oak and FLSnookman.  The fish and the tree seem to play well together.  

Allthough they both scored a total of 7 ITP finishes Effsea and Phoenix Maya could not overcome the leaders but were able to land into second place.  Congratulations to Phoenix Maya who took down a pair of first place wins.

In this fourth period of the month, Team GandalfDwite and Tom905 find themselves in third place, despite a combination of ITP, FT, and KO contributions from both members.  Gandalf scored with a first place win as well.

Other Game point contributions came from Wetmoose 613, Howitzer2007, Horsewoman72, and Rhino4646.

Also scoring a first place win was Horsewoman and Wetmoose for the teams.

Hey the fish is doing all the heavy work. I'm just hanging on for the ride.

Fortunately, he is a strong swimmer.

Remember the time when the mistake I made was I thought I had made a mistake, but I didn't.

Well it happened again. On Thursday I thought I had forgotten to set up the Knockout option, but later realized that when you select to have a rebuy, you automatically turn that off. In other words you can have a rebuy or a knockout, but not both. I'll remember that for next time (if there is one).

At any rate, the result is, no one got any KO points on Thursday.

We are now into the fifth period results for April, and we are heading for the finish line for the month.  The number one team has again solidified its position and is way out front.  There are still 5 other horses in the race, but they better move quickly if they are going to catch this one.

Well it was another challenge for this month.  Sometimes these things are close, sometimes it's a run-away.  This month one team took the lead after the first week of the month and never looked back.  In the end, it would be the Shady Oak paired with a Silver Snook that got the right to sing, "We just won the Drunk Tank, We just won the Drunk Tank."

Despite a valiant effort throughout the month and coupled with an ITP score by GandalfDwite and Tom905, this team has ended this season in third place.  So if you see a lonely wizard drinking a Canadian beer looking like almost winners you will understand why. They do, however, win the third place prize and our thanks for a job well done.

In second place for the season is Team Effsea and Phoenix Maya.  This well matched pair fought hard to the end with impressive showings from both members which included a first place win by Maya  that brought them up in the standings.  Still it was not enough to catch the lead by the other team.  They will get the second place prize $5 each and honorable mention.

In the end it was an awesome steady and all around performance of two of the Tanks oldest characters who continuously scored high in the rankings.  Seems like when one was off the other took the lead. It was a strong performance by Johnny Oak and FLsnookman that saw contributions from both members and included 2 first place wins by JO, that was good enough to take the Team into an exclusive lead on the final day of the season.  They will split the first place prizes of $10 for each of the players.
