Sorry I couldn't be there at the end of the club Challenge, but I lost power at my house. I do see that it was a hard fought battle and the top 3 players were all from different clubs. So I am putting a bounty of 50K on these players for next game.

Wow! It was another great battle last night. I was allowed to finish the game this time (no power outage) so I got to watch 3 really good teams go at it. There are now 2 new players at the top for 2 of the clubs and 1 leader remained. So I am putting a bounty of 50K on these players for next game.

That means that after all three qualifying games 27 players will go on to represent their home club in the Final game. Currently the top 9 players for the Drunk Tank are:

As an added incentive I am offering a music CD as the grand prize for the final game. Members of the Drunk Tank that have received one of these will tell you it's well worth it. Over 120 songs, Rock, Jazz, and Blues, from my fifty year collection. So if you want a chance to go for this, you need to be in the top 9 for your club.

I am looking to add a fourth club to the Club Challenge format. They would have to meet some strict requirements as listed below.

1 Be a small club of about 50-100 active members (can not accomodate the mega clubs)
2 Be a friendly club (don't need or want any flamers or bad sports)
3 Would have to be predominantly new players that are not already in one of the 3 clubs we have.
4 Be willing to play for play money only.

The day of the Final game is the day I will be moving. I think I will be able to make the game and would like to play it, but it would be good to have a back up. So, you can replace me 5/10 minutes into the game if my avatar is still in sitting out mode.

Like Buzz says, once you are seated in the game I cannot replace you. If you think you are just going to be late, then by all means stay in and play when you can.

I just posted this note on the wall of Club Challenge. I do not want any Tankers to think I was talking to them. However, if you notice that any other players are breaking these rules, please let me know.


This is a touchy subject but I did want to say something about the Final Game Rules. First remember that this is a friendly competition for nothing more than bragging rights. So some soft play among team players should be both expected and tolerated. However, any appearance of chip dumping will not. Raising the pot and folding to a team mate for the purpose of giving them an unfair advantage, is not legal. Just play your normal game and let the cards and the skills determine who is best.

The Club Challenge Final game has been set. Just a reminder that we still need the following players to sign up for the final game.
