OK the vacation is history now and it's time to get back on schedule. The third 5 day period results for June have been counted, and one of the teams has stretched it's lead and is going to be hard to catch. However, it is only half way through the contest, and it is still possible that someone could charge from behind (like last month).

We are still averaging about 25 players per night. Quite remarkable if you consider that we have less than a 100 members total.


Extending their first place lead with a strong combination of wins including GTAE92, Chelle867, !!!111Dan, Mtnestegg, and Sinman64 was team Sinner n Saints. Also providing a big boost was !!!111Dan with a first place win.

Due to an impressive collection of 10 in the points wins by several members of the team, including BrayleeGirl, Wetmoose 613, Easychips4U, 11Scorpious11, Johnny Oak, and QueenBee9979, Team Buzzed Stingers remain in second place. Scorpious had 3 ITP wins 2 of which were second place showings.

Still trailing behind in third place, the members of the Rum Runners had a good collection of wins by Sandtrap777, Mcrissinger, GmaJudy, and Jordan2652.

In this the third period of the month, Team White Lightning still find themselves in fouth place, despite point contributions by Hozzer44820, Brkn80, Nobisquit, Mischiff, Chilli 2 U, Horsewoman72, and JWK24. With 2 first place wins by Mischiff and JWK.

When asked, Captain Jdub said, "I think we are more focussed on drinking instead of playing cards."

Team White Lightning has requested and received a roster change. The new player will be TexasDuke and his accumulated points will be added to team White Lightning's total score. This player will replace a non-active player that has opted out for the month. As of today this leaves the team in fourth place but closer to the group. Good luck to all the teams and look for a new update here after the 20th.

The fourth 5 day period for June is complete, and one of the teams continues to stretch it's lead and looks like the team to beat. As we head into the last stretch one of the trailing teams is going to need to make a push if they are going to catch the leader.

Still sitting slightly behind in fourth place, the members of the White Lightning still had a good collection of wins by Hozzer44820, Mischiff, Chilli 2U, Horsewoman72, and JWK24. With an incredible first place win by Chilli 2U on Monday.

When asked, Captain Jdub said, "Was going to take it down until some drunk in Canada tripped over a cord and knocked out power in Chicago."

The fifth 5 day period for June is now in the books, and one of the teams continues in the lead but the second place team is starting to get a little bit closer. And a new team has taken over third.

We have picked up some new members and some of them have already started scoring in the challenge. Keep up the good work, we are the best club with the best players, and the nicest people in the world.

Like Dano, I think you should probably leave me off the team list for July for now as well.

I'm in the process of moving residences effective tomorrow and am uncertain when I will get hooked up to the interwebs again. I also need to spend some time in the nxt few weeks out on the coast to deal with some of my Dad's estate stuff. I don't think it fair to saddle some poor captain with my likely truancy that is about to occur.

Unfortunate in a way, as you guys have all been a bit of a refuge for me from life's current challenges. So while I may be truant for a bit, I fully intend to be back.

Without a doubt this was one of the most dominating performances in our history. One team jumped into the lead from the very start and simply extended their lead until the final night. With 3 out of the top 4 players all on the same team it would have taken a miracle to catch them. We did see a lot of new players join the group and get picked up along the way to the top. Once again, Team spirit was awesome as each night the final table would get railed by team members cheering their mates on. In the end it would be a band led by a man from California who got to sing, "We just won the Drunk Tank, We just won the Drunk Tank."

Despite an early season good showing and some last minute efforts which included scores by Morganhell's, Mcrissinger, and Jordan2652, team Rum Runners has ended this season in last place. So if you see any of them singing YO HO HO and a Bottle of Rum, tell them better luck next month.

Although there was a valiant effort by several members of the team and a fine showing by the Team Captain, which included contributions in the last period by Brkn80, TexasDuke, Chilli2U, Horsewoman72, and JWK24, team White Lightning found themselves in third place for the season. They do, however, win the third place prize of 1600 play chips to distribute to the team members.

In second place for the season is team Buzzed Stingers. Even though they were close for the entire season, they fought hard to the end with an impressive 6 ITM showings in the last period including contributions by BrayleeGirl, Tom905, Wetmoose613, 11Scorpious11, Johnny Oak, and QueenBee9979, still it was not enough to catch up to the Sinners lead. They will get the second place prize of 4000 chips to give to their members.

In the end it was the awesome performance of the players coupled with the domination of Captain Sinman that caused a win for the Sinners n Saints. It was a strong contingent of players that combined for 15 ITM placements and 5 first place wins. Continued strong showings by nearly all members including Julestubby25, Megg23, GTAE92, Chelle867, !!!111Dan, Mtnestegg, and Sinman64, that was good enough to push Team Sinners n Saints into an overwhelming lead on the final day of the season. The S & S will split the first place prize of 8000 chips amonst it's players.

ForJuly we will once again have four teams who will be playing for top points and bragging rights. Anyone who finished in the top 32 from the prior month and had 5 or more games will be qualified to be added to the teams. For those who didn't, please stop in and play so you can be qualified for next month's Challenge.

As usual, here are a few suggestions and rules to make it fair to everyone... This is a fun challenge and a friendly competition... NO ganging up on opposing members, OR taking it easy on your own members. Play as you normally do and at the end of the month after the final game is played the points will be tallied to see which group gets bragging rights.

Rule 1 – The top four players (from the previous month) will be assigned as Captains of their teams and will get the honor of naming that team.

Rule 2 – Teams will consist of 8 players initially assigned to each team. If any member of a team has not played for a 5 day period within the month, the Captain can request (via a PM to me) that they be replaced by the next highest eligible player. All points earned by the replacement up to that point will be added to the gaining team’s score.

Rule 3 – The Captain of the winning team will receive 8000 chips to distribute to their team members. Second place team will get 4000. Third place will get 1600, and Fourth place will get to hold the stick after the popsickle is gone.

Rule 4 – This season we will be using a scoring system that includes Points, Games, and Knock Outs.
