We got one night and one chance to get our lead back. It will be 5-Card draw tonight so Let's go get it.

For all please remember that I will be out of town for 7 days after tonight.
I will post the May results but the team selection and updates for June will have to wait until I get back.
Whatever happens, It has been fun and we will keep it up next month. Just play your regular games and I will get everything caught up when I return. If the hotel has wi-fi I will try to play in some games if I can.

Great job team! What a bunch of closers!

Without a doubt this was the most amazing finish in our history. With only 3 days to go one team came from behind and overtook the team that had led throughout. Just goes to show you can never sit back and wait. This was definately one of the most competitive months we have ever had. We saw a lot of new players join the group and get picked up along the way to the top. Once again, Team spirit was awesome as each night the final table would get railed by team members cheering their mates on. In the end though it would be an Old hoss team Captain, and some great performances by a few new players who got to sing, "We just won the Drunk Tank, We just won the Drunk Tank."

Despite an early season good showing and some last minute efforts which included scores by Tom905, GTAE92, Hozzer44820, and Mtnestegg, team Green Egg and Hams has ended this season in last place. So if you see any of them tooting their Flimchoozlers or thumping their Whamkicklers, tell them better luck next month.

Although there was a valiant effort by nearly every member of the team and a fine showing by the club points leader, which included contributions in the last period by Phoenix Maya, Wetmoose 613, Horsewoman72, and 4 placements by Jordan2652, the Hiccups found themselves in third place for the season. They do, however, win the third place prize of 1600 play chips to distribute to the team members.

In second place for the season is team Boozers. Even though they led the entire season except for the last 3 days, they fought hard to the end with an impressive 13 ITM showings in the last period including contributions by Chilli 2U, Buzzliyear, JerseyRon, QueenBee9979, Chelle867, and Johnny Oak, still it was not enough to fight off the last minute Julep charge. They will get the second place prize of 4000 chips to give to their members.

In the end it was the steady performance of the players coupled with the a true stretch run elicited by the leadership of Captain JWK that caused a win for the Mint Juleps. It was a strong contingent of players that combined for 15 ITM placements and 3 first place wins. Continued strong showings by nearly all members including Megg23, Mcrissinger, GmaJudy, Buzzonbi, Sinman64, Dale442, and JWK24, that was good enough to push Team Mint Juleps into a decisive lead on the final day of the season. The Juleps will split the first place prize of 8000 chips amonst it's players.

Sorry I had to delay this, but here it is for the month of June. As you may know we have had a tremendous surge in the popularity of our friendly TEAM challenge in the Drunk Tank. This month we would like to continue in that tradition.

ForJune we will once again have four teams who will be playing for top points and bragging rights. Anyone who finished in the top 32 from the prior month and had 5 or more games will be qualified to be added to the teams. For those who didn't, please stop in and play so you can be qualified for next month's Challenge.

As usual, here are a few suggestions and rules to make it fair to everyone... This is a fun challenge and a friendly competition... NO ganging up on opposing members, OR taking it easy on your own members. Play as you normally do and at the end of the month after the final game is played the points will be tallied to see which group gets bragging rights.

Rule 1 – The top four players (from the previous month) will be assigned as Captains of their teams and will get the honor of naming that team.

New Rule 2 – Teams will consist of 8 players initially assigned to each team. If any member of a team has not played for a 5 day period within the month, the Captain can request (via a PM to me) that they be replaced by the next highest eligible player. All points earned by the replacement up to that point will be added to the gaining team’s score.

Rule 3 – The Captain of the winning team will receive 8000 chips to distribute to their team members. Second place team will get 4000. Third place will get 1600, and Fourth place will get a warm fuzzy feeling that the sum of the parts is greater than the whole.

Rule 4 – This season we will be using a scoring system that includes Points, Games, and Knock Outs. The player’s score will be the accumulative total of the Number of games played, + the Number of KO’s earned, + the Winning Game points. Now a player can score points for their team even if they don’t reach the bubble for the night.

At the end of the month the teams will be reassigned by player position and the first 32 players who have the minimum number of games (usually 3-5) will be added to the new teams (unless they opt out).

I will add updates to this thread (approx) every 5 days as to how the teams are doing. Good luck to all four teams and hope we can have another close race this month.

For the Record

Team Sinners n Saints has requested and received a roster change. The new player will be Julestubby25 and his accumulated points will be added to team Sinners n Saints total score. This player will replace a non-active player that has not played for five days. As of today this moves the team into first place. Good luck to all the teams and look for a new update here after the 10th.

Because of my vacation a lot of things got backed up, so here are the results for the first 10 days of June. One of the teams has galloped into a good lead and is setting the pace for the others. However, it is very early in the contest, and it is still anybody's chance to win.

We are still averaging about 25 players per night and we are still in the running for club domination in the Battle of the clubs. Thanks to all the players who show up and prove, that this is the best Play money league in the world.


Establishing their first place lead with an extremely strong combination of wins by all 8 members including Buzzonbi, Julestubby25, Megg23, GTAE92, !!!111Dan, Mtnestegg, and Sinman64 was team Sinners n Saints. Also providing a big boost was Sinman64 who had 2 back to back wins for the period.

Due to an impressive collection of wins by several members of the team, including Effsea, BrayleeGirl, Wetmoose 613, Easychips4U, 11Scorpious11, Johnny Oak, and QueenBee9979, Team Buzzed Stingers grabbed hold of second place.

Although not far behind in third place, the members of the Rum Runners had a good collection of wins by nearly all members of the team including HoboJim11247, Gatehouse999, Sandtrap777, Mcrissinger, JerseyRon, GmaJudy, and Jordan2652.

With the second period of the month completed, Team White Lightning now find themselves in fourth place, despite point contributions by Hozzer44820, Brkn80, Nobisquit, Mischiff, Horsewoman72, and JWK24.

When asked, Captain Jdub said, "Remember that lightning is more likely to strike when you are wearing a tin foil hat."
